Woman vandalises Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister’s office, escapes

An unidentified woman vandalised the office of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Mantralaya building in Mumbai on Thursday.
Mantralaya houses most of the departments of the state government. According to sources, the woman did not have a pass, but managed to sneak into the high-security building and went to the sixth-floor office of Fadnavis on Thursday evening.
She raised slogans against him and also attempted to damage the nameplate of the Deputy Chief Minister by throwing it on the ground. Visuals from the scene showed several potted plants smashed on the floor.
Staffers and police constables tried to detain her, but she managed to escape through the south end gate.
As per sources, the woman was reportedly upset over an issue related to her house.
Marine Drive police are currently investigating the incident and searching for the woman.
