The joystick is working to adjust the mirror and the field lens assembly is adjusting the field lens. The field lens has a grime smear internally. Manufacturer's Description
A microscope attachment assembly is provided for pivotably mounting a surgical laser to a microscope. A micromanipulator housing is adapted to swing away to an off-axis position to facilitate exchanging the objective lens of the microscope. The spot size of the laser is controlled by shifting the position of a field lens included in a field lens assembly which is shifted along the laser beam. The field lens is moved between a presetable cut-mode position and a presetable coagulate-mode position.
Condition & Testing
Excellent cosmetic and bench tested condition. The overall finish is near perfect with no sign of damage or wear. The joystick is manipulating the mirror. I can visibly see the field lens adjust when the assembly is turned. The internal field lens has what appears to be a couple lines of grime. Not sure if this affects function but it will likely require disassembly of the field lens assembly for cleaning. (see pic)
